The Morning Line // Matthew Ritchie // Schwarzenbergplatz, Vienna
Posted on | January 5, 2011
Combining the disciplines of art, architecture, music and film into, this opulent object by Matthew Ritchie expresses its content through its structure.
The artist calls it an anti-pavillion, an opening of space and a conversion platform of place that tranforms into language. ‘The Morning Line’ – so the name of it – is a collaboration with Aranda Lasch, Arup and Francesca Habsburg (Thyssen Bornemisza Art Contemporary). I went to a sound performance in/around the site (June 11) – great DJ’s, impressive life performance of a sound artists who created visuals through her voice.
